Accessibility statement for our online surveys

OB3 Research is committed to providing bilingual online surveys that are accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We attempt to adhere to available accessibility standards and guidelines and design surveys which are as simple as possible to understand.

All our online surveys are prepared using Snap Surveys software which conform to version 2.1 of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) meeting level AA compliance, with the addition of being compliant to many of the AAA level checkpoints. The software allows respondents to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts

  • zoom in up to 400%, depending upon the browser or device used, without the text spilling off the screen and without content being truncated or overlapping

  • navigate most of the survey using just a keyboard

  • navigate most of the survey using speech recognition software

  • listen to most of the survey using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

All our surveys are designed as standard and plain editions and respondents can move between the two versions of the questionnaire via an embedded link within the survey. Plain text only editions of the survey contain no images or colour. Where images are used within our standard survey editions we provide ‘alt text’ for people who cannot see the image. Snap Survey software allows various objects to be inserted into questionnaires which can have implications for usability.
