Welsh Government has appointed OB3 Research, in partnership with Dateb, People and Work Unit and the Institute of Employment Studies (IES), to undertake the evaluation of the Communities for Work programme - a new labour market intervention designed to support long-term unemployed and economically inactive people to secure employment. The programme is jointly funded by the European Social Fund, Welsh Government and the Department for Work and Pensions.
The evaluation has three main aims. Firstly, to develop the logic model underpinning the programme; secondly, to assess how the project has been set up and how it is being operated and thirdly, to provide an indication of its overall effectiveness.
