OB3 Research in conjunction with Dateb, People & Work and the Wales Institute for Social and Economic Research (WISERD) will be undertaking an evaluation of Parents, Childcare and Employment - a key labour market intervention developed by Welsh Government and jointly funded by the European Social Fund (ESF). The PaCE project aims to help improve the employment prospects of parents where childcare is the main barrier to accessing training or job opportunities.
The evaluation will investigate PaCE's current implementation against the theory of change model underpinning the programme; assess the differences between Priority 1 and Priority 3 operations; assess its effectiveness in helping parents aged over 25 achieve sustainable employment and assess its effectiveness in reducing the number of young parents aged 16-24 who are not engaged in education, training or employment.
