Nia joined OB3 in 2007 and has over fifteen years’ experience as a social researcher. She has a strong consultancy background and has led a wide range of research and evaluation commissions for Wales based clients. She has directed many evaluation studies which have adopted theory of change, formative and summative evaluation approaches.
Nia has completed studies for various Welsh Government departments, WEFO, HEFCW, Education Workforce Council, National Academy for Educational Leadership Wales, Social Care Wales and the National Lottery Community Fund. She has a particular interest in the policy areas of education and skills, business and economy, health and social care as well as equality and diversity.
Nia leads OB3’s quantitative survey work and is trained to advanced level in SNAP survey software. She is also an associate member of the Market Research Society.
Before joining OB3, Nia was a Project Manager within the Welsh Development Agency and latterly the Department for Economy and Transport within the Welsh Government. She was responsible for two flagship Enterprise Support projects which focused on supporting under-represented groups.
A first language Welsh speaker, Nia holds a degree in Geography (BSc Econ) from Swansea University.
