Earlier this year, OB3 research was tasked with undertaking a detailed scoping study of the various options available to Welsh Government in developing a pilot project to support overseas study by Welsh domiciled students, in response to a specific recommendation in the Diamond Review of Higher Education in Wales. Welsh Government has now announced details of a new international study pilot to help many more Welsh students, no matter what their background, to study abroad. The £1.3m pilot, developed in conjunction with the British Council will run for three years, and will offer a mix of study, volunteering and internship opportunities for Welsh students at Welsh institutions for 2-8 weeks.
