OB3 has been commissioned by Welsh Government to undertake a review of local authority elective home education (EHE) administration practices. The review aims to investigate the current practices and processes being used by local authorities in Wales to identify home educated children, examine the practices in place to assess the suitability of education provision for EHE children and analyse the existing expenditure by local authorities to carry out their duties in relation to EHE.
The review includes visits to all 22 local authorities in Wales and desk based analysis of research and data.
