OB3 will support IFF Research in conducting research to inform an integrated approach to improving educational outcomes for looked after children.
The research, commissioned by the Welsh Government, aims to assist policy makers in shaping the future policy direction for supporting looked after children in education, in order to ensure co-ordination of support, and to improve educational outcomes. The research will determine how a new Welsh virtual schools model could be implemented, and the impact of introducing a new model.
OB3 will undertake some of the primary research associated with the work, including interviews with local authorities and stakeholders across Wales.
