OB3 has been commissioned by Welsh Government to conduct a review of international best practice within the field of rural development.
The Welsh Government Rural Communities - Rural Development Programme for Wales 2014-2020 (RDP) funded under the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development will close fully by December 2023, with individual schemes ending at different times between now and December 2023. Work is commencing to develop a business case for future domestic support for rural development in Wales.
This research will help explore innovative funding models and interventions that are in line with Programme for Government commitments. The research will focus upon, but will not be limited to: USA, Canada, New Zealand and India. The findings will be used to inform ta business case into future wider rural development support.
