The Welsh Government has published a white paper setting out its proposals for a Social Partnership Bill to deliver a more equal Wales by strengthening social partnership arrangements and providing a framework to drive greater social equality for Welsh workers across the economy.

The white paper sets out to:

  • establish a Social Partnership Council

  • place a duty on public bodies to work in social partnership and promote fair work goals

  • require specified public bodies to produce a procurement strategy in line with statutory guidance

The analysis of consultation responses will be undertaken in January, with key issues reported in a summary report for publication and in a presentation to officials.
