At a time when accessing digital provision is more important than ever, OB3 Research has been commissioned to evaluate Digital Communities Wales: Digital Confidence, Health and Wellbeing, on behalf of Welsh Government.
11% of adults in Wales are not online and they’re missing out on opportunities to save money, find work, learn skills and access important services. Many of them are already coping with issues such as loneliness, poverty or unemployment – issues which are being made worse by not being online.
Digital Communities Wales – Digital Confidence, Health and Well-being supports organisations that are working with digitally excluded people, helping them deliver digital inclusion activities so they can do it well and make a bigger impact.
The evaluation will consider the success of DCW in fulfilling its key objectives. The evaluation will:
review and summarise existing evidence around the relationship between digital inclusion and health
review the effectiveness and efficiency of the delivery of the programme
assess the extent to which the programme’s aims have been achieved
provide evidence of the outcomes of the programme for individuals and the services they access.
